Hazard Mitigation Planning

Hazard Mitigation Plans (HMPs) provide a framework to implement policies, procedures, and projects that save lives, reduce property loss, and minimize social and economic disruption. Disaster preparedness consulting and proactive planning are essential to meet FEMA requirements and secure funding for mitigation projects.

Since 2011, Pudar Mitigation Consulting Inc has led multiple HMP updates in Georgia, including Heard, Augusta-Richmond, Rockdale, and Douglas Counties—all successfully approved by FEMA Region IV on the first submission. In support roles, we’ve contributed natural disaster risk assessment and mitigation planning expertise in New Jersey, Louisiana, and other states.
